How do I register at the institute?
You can contact us by e-mail at theilc@tstt.net.tt or by telephone at 1(868) 628 1731. We will then send you registration information.
After choosing your starting date you must send us the following personal information:
Full name
Address and telephone number
Date of birth
Occupation
Passport number
Copy of passport page showing photo and personal information
On the first day of the course you will do an evaluation which will determine your level.
Your registration is not complete until you have filled out a registration form and paid all fees.

How do I pay the fees?
Fees can be paid directly into the bank account of the institute. It is also possible to pay the fees on the first day of the course. Payments can be made in cash or by credit card (Master Card/ Visa). |
Do I need a visa?
You can enter the country with a valid passport. The institute can provide you with a letter to the immigration officer at the airport. You will then be required to pay US 9.00 for a temporary visa of 15 days to one month. |
How do I obtain a student permit?
The institute will help you to apply for the student permit. The fee for a student permit is approximately US 60.00 ($360.00TT) and it is paid directly at the immigration office in Port of Spain. |
How do I obtain accommodation?
The institute assists in locating suitable accommodation according to your wishes. You will be received at the airport and taken to the host home. You will have one week to determine if you are comfortable there. If you are not, attempts will be made to re-locate you. Rent is payable in advance. |
How do I dress?
We try to maintain a casual but professional environment. Jeans and tee-shirts are acceptable. |
What must I take to the institute?
You only need 2 notebooks (1 should be loose-leafed), pens, pencils, eraser, a walkman to play cassettes and CD’s, an English dictionary and a passport sized photo. |
